hinese President Xi Jinping wrapped up his visit to Cuba after signing 29 collaboration agreements.They include renewable energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and infrastructure. During his trip to Cuba, Xi was awarded the Jose Marti Order, Cuba's highest decoration. It is a recognition of his contribution to the development of Cuba-China relations. CCTV's Wu Haojun has more.This is President Xi’s first visit to the country since taking office. Cuban President Raul Castro awarded Cuba’s top honor- the “Jose Marti” Medal to President Xi.
Jose Marti was a Cuban national hero and an important figure in Latin American literature. Xi thanked the Cuban government for the honor and delivered a speech afterward.
China is fully confident in the future development of its relations with Cuba. China is willing to be a good friend, comrade and brother of Cuba forever and join hands with Cuba to constantly elevate bilateral ties to new heights, Xi added.
