Ukrainian government forces dismissed an offer of a cease-fire as fighting continues in Donetsk.
Ukraine’s military is tightening its control of the pro-Russian rebel-held area, and has said the rebels must surrender.
Russia has offered to send a humanitarian mission into the area, but Western powers suspect it as an excuse to send more troops. Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko said he would only consider it an aid mission if it gets international support and is unarmed.
People are fleeing Donetsk as the violence makes life there increasingly difficult.
