Obama: Coordinated campaign against terror targets

World Today

A pounding of more than 200 air strikes against more than a dozen targets in Syria Monday night made possible by a partnership between the United States and five Arab nations.

Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and Jordan all confirm that their militaries launched air strikes in Syria. One Gulf security source tells Reuters that the Saudis sent four F-16s, the UAE 4 warplanes, and Bahrain two aircraft.

At a meeting with the Arab partners on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, U.S. President Barack Obama sought to thank them. CCTV America’s Jessica Stone reports.
