The government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is to hold the first formal meeting with representatives of the Occupy Central students on Friday afternoon, a government official said on Tuesday evening.

Experts predict the number of mainland tour groups to Hong Kong this year could be halved. This could cause losses of 100 million HKD, or 13 million USD per day, on Hong Kong’s over 200 hotels.
