Gunfire exchanged between DPRK and South Korea’s security forces

Security forces from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and from the Republic of Korea exchanged gunfire across the de-militarized zone.

After some warning shots, DPRK soldiers were fired upon as they approached the military border. They returned fire, and the exchange lasted for ten minutes. No casualties or property damage were reported.
