In the weeks since a 2-year-old girl in Mali was diagnosed with Ebola, there have been no further reported cases.
“In terms of public awareness, there is still room for improvement. Communication is ongoing but there are groups working on mobilization with the transport sector and religious groups to make sure we are covering the main targets that will reach every single person,” said physician Ibrahima Fall, a World Health Organization representative in Mali.
Authorities are determined that the Mali people know about the threat of Ebola and how to keep themselves alive.
