CCTV America's Shraysi Tandon interviewed fashion designer Vera Wang, on how American culture influences her designs.

“One of the things that influences me the most is our culture, the American culture, probably more now than every before. I mean a lot of designers are focused on Paris, there’s no question. But I think for me, at this particular time, in this particular decade, the American sense of style has yet again come to the forefront,” Wang said.

“It very much influences me: What’s going on in media, what’s going on in media, what’s going on in film, what’s going on in Hollywood. All of these factors are contributing to how I view where we’re going and hence what I’m doing. Culturally it’s a very American time right now. In terms of business, it’s the decade of China.”
