The UN estimates there are more than 800 million people around the world who do not get enough to eat. Groups like The Global FoodBanking Network aim to reduce hunger by teaching activists from all over the world how to better manage and launch food banks to serve their communities. This month, more than 80 food bankers from 38 countries came together in Houston, Texas- home of the world’s largest food bank- to share their experiences and learn from their peers.

  • The Global FoodBanking network supports food banks in more than 30 countries outside the U.S., representing more than one-third of the world’s hungry people. Last year, this network distributed half a Billion kilograms of food.
