Those familiar with Washington know all too well the springtime rush that comes with the arrival of the annual cherry blossom festival. The nation’s capital welcomes a steady stream of tourists from around the world, ready to catch a glimpse and snap a photo with the buds of the Japanese sakura. While Washington seems to have commandeered the cherry blossom charm, its not the only place that calls itself home to the flowers.
