Humidity and cooler weather were welcome conditions for firefighters on Wednesday. But that won’t last for long as smoking holes from scorched earth are everywhere.

California wildfires are only very partially contained

Firefighters have now contained one-fifth of Rocky Fire, even though the overall size of the blaze actually expanded overnight by 12-hundred hectares to more than 27-hundred hectares overall. Humidity and cooler weather were welcome conditions for firefighters on Wednesday. But that won't last for long. Smoking holes from scorched earth are still everywhere.
