China’s foreign minister Wang Yi says President Xi Jinping’s upcoming visit to the U.S. is aimed at enhancing trust and dispelling misunderstandings.
Wang said this in a his keynote speech at the Lanting Forum in Beijing.
Speaking on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China and the U.S. should respect each other, maintain a stable development and strengthen cooperation to maintain world peace. Wang Yi also said Xi Jinping would bring up sensitive security issues in his talks with Barack Obama.
The forum is a platform for communication and exchanges between governments, the business community, academia, media and the public.
