Palestinian flag raised for the first time at UN

In a break with tradition, the Palestinian flag has been raised at the United Nations for the first time. Three years ago, the U.N. voted to give the State of Palestine non-member observer status, and up until now, it has been unable to fly its flag alongside the 193 member states.
