Chinese archaeologists have completed their latest round of underwater operations to look for more findings from a shipwreck discovered last year near Dandong Port. The ship has been confirmed as cruiser Zhiyuan, one of the warships of imperial China’s powerful naval force, the Beiyang Fleet, which was sunk by the Japanese navy during the first Sino-Japanese War 121 years ago.
