The Qingshui River Bridge in Guizhou Province is now open to traffic. At 406 meters (1332 feet), it’s the world’s second-highest bridge.
The structure was built on rocky terrain to improve transport links between the provincial capital Guiyang and neighboring counties. The only bridge taller than it is the Sidu River Bridge — 90 meters (295 feet) taller than Qingshui Bridge — in central China’s Hubei Province.
