We all know flowers are colorful and beautiful…but edible? That’s what residents of Bogota, Colombia’s restaurant scene are discovering. Colombia feeds much of the world’s appetite for flowers and is in fact one of the globe’s top exporters of them. Now, one entrepreneur is literally feeding people with Colombia’s flowers, by growing them -- for culinary creations. Daniel Aristizabal says there are over 250 flower blooms that are deemed edible in the world today. Their flavors range from sweet to sour. And they contain vitamins making them not only delicious but nutritious too.
