Vietnam gives sitting General-Secretary another 5 year term

Vietnam’s 12th Communist Party Congress has given sitting General-Secretary Nguyen Pho Trong another 5-year term.

The current Prime Minister will step aside, and his deputy will now take over.

The head of the Security Bureau is expected to take the position of President, ending speculation on whether reformers, or conservatives, would gain the upper hand.

CCTV’s Tony Cheng reports from Hanoi.
