President Xi Jinping held a welcoming ceremony for Buhari at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The two leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation in various areas including infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and trade.
Buhari is the first African leader that President Xi has received this year in the Chinese capital.
This is the third meeting between the two leaders within a year. President Xi said this indicates the special significance of China-Nigeria ties.
