Tsingtao now the most popular imported beer in South Korea

Tsingtao Beer, one of China’s flagship brews, has spread its popularity overseas to its neighbor South Korea.

After first landing in the South Korean market 16 years ago, Tsingtao beer has become the top-seller among all imported brews in the country, frothing ahead of big-name rivals including Heineken, Hoegaarden, and Asahi in the first quarter of 2016, according to sales from January to March in Korea’s leading supermarket chain, Emart.
