For centuries Spanish artists have contributed and influenced the world of art. Illustrators like Pablo Picasso, who is considered the “father of modern art” or Salvador Dali, the famous Spanish surrealist, are considered the pillars of Spanish contemporary art.
Their use of colors paved the path for a younger generation of artists — who continue to “draw” on this tradition.
The work of this new group of artists is on display in an exhibit called “Spanish Illustrators: The Color of Optimism” in Washington, DC.
The exhibit runs through June 26, 2016.
