A museum about the future in Rio attracts visitors today

Rio de Janeiro, the host city of this summer’s Olympic Games, houses one of the world’s most eye-catching buildings. It’s called the Museum of Tomorrow.

Merging art and science, this is a museum that focuses on concepts and ideas rather than sculptures and paintings.

This science institution certainly looks like something from the future. The museum’s curator Luiz Alberto Oliveira conceived its concept of exploring and imagining though various experiments and experiences.

The museum opened in December 2015. Designers say the building is energy-efficient. Nine percent of its energy comes from solar power.
