Oaxacan songstress Susana Harp is one of Mexico’s most famous singers of traditional music. She sings in Spanish and several indigenous languages.

Throughout her career she’s performed at concerts in Europe and across the Americas.

Since 1997, Susana has made eight albums (recordings). 2016 marks her 20th year in the music business.

The music she makes has helped give recognition and respect to indigenous communities. Susana has also founded a cultural association to support indigenous cultural projects in Mexico.
