Early voting underway in Presidential election

Early voting is already underway in several U.S. states, two weeks before Election Day.

And the candidates are anxious to get every vote.

CCTV America’s Jim Spellman reports.

Core supporters of Republican nominee Donald Trump remain passionate and committed, but polling consistently shows Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton up by about five percent over Trump.

Trump’s polling numbers plummeted after rough debate performances, a leaked tape showing him making crude remarks about women and a string of accusers coming forward claiming Trump groped them or made unwanted advances.

Trump denies the allegations. He has responded to falling poll numbers by blaming the media and even claims voter fraud could give the race to Clinton.

There is no evidence of this but it has led many to wonder what Trump will do if he loses.

Leaked emails have revealed embarrassing details about the Clinton campaign, but haven’t significantly hurt her support.

A newly released report shows premiums for President Obama’s signature health care plan, known as Obamacare, will rise significantly. Trump is jumping at the chance to link Hillary Clinton to these rising premiums. It’s not clear if this will be enough to sway voters in the closing days before the election.
