Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have been displaced since the military operation to oust ISIL from Mosul launched in October.

Tens of thousands flee offensive in Iraqi city of Mosul
Residents are fleeing the ISIL-controlled western part of Mosul. Tens of thousands are escaping as the Iraqi military offensive gets closer. CGTN's Stephanie Freid reports.The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has said that number has accelerated dramatically since the West Mosul campaign started in February.
The UNHCR and other NGO’s are scrambling to provide aid and shelter to Iraqis fleeing Mosul. According to UNHCR figures, as many as 4,000 thousand are fleeing the city every day.
