Canadian wine producers fear getting overlooked in NAFTA talks

The wine industry is getting a closer in the current renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement. Talks between the United States, Canada and Mexico opened in Washington D.C., with Trump administration negotiators seeking significant concessions.

Canadian wine producers say the industry has grown under the deal. But they argue that they’re too small to compete, and they fear the needs of bigger industries will wash them away.
