Social entrepreneur Ting Shih is helping the world connect with her medical app, Clickmedix. When she needs to unplug, she turns to one of her favorite comfort foods: Flourless Choclate Cake.
- 1 egg
- 1 square of chocolate (10g), additional chocolate as preferred
- 1/2 tbsp (7.5 mL) of butter
Optional Ingredients for Garnish:
- Powdered sugar
- Raspberries or other fruits
- Ramekin or microwave-safe container
- Bowl for beating egg
- Whisk or fork
Microwave butter and chocolate together for 60 seconds in the ramekin or microwave-safe mug/container.
Use a fork or whisk to mix the butter and chocolate until fully combined.
Whisk egg in a separate bowl. Add egg into ramekin.
Microwave mixture for 60 seconds.
Optional: For a molten center, insert additional chocolate pieces into the center of the cake, top with marshmallow, then microwave for another 60 seconds.
Decorate with raspberries, marshmallows and dust on powdered sugar.
Makes 1 serving.
