Trump blocks bid by Singapore's Broadcom for US-based Qualcomm

What would have been the technology industry’s biggest deal ever is over.

President Trump on Monday blocked Broadcom’s proposed 117 billion dollar takeover of U.S. chip maker Qualcomm on national security grounds.

Singapore-based Broadcom had been planning to move its headquarters to the United States.
