From carrot cake to chocolate chip cookies, Fadi Jaber’s bakery (The Cakeroom) specializes in classic American desserts. While the Jordanian American has found sweet success in the culinary world, his career as a pastry chef almost never happened.
Jaber had a steady corporate career before he decided to embark on his childhood passion of baking. Now, he’s turned his lifelong love for classic American desserts in to a bakery enterprise that stretches from the Middle East to Washington, D.C., despite of the cultural challenges.
