An innovative replacement for the wood-burning stove

Americas Now

Some say cooking inside a house with wood can be a recipe for disaster. Our Game Changer on “Americas Now” invented a clean alternative for cooking. It’s called the Glatt Stove.

According to the World Health Organization, one of the world’s silent environmental problems is the damage caused by cooking with wood fires. It’s an age-old tradition practiced globally that few people question.

But one man in Mexico examined the danger it can pose to people and the planet and cast doubt upon its use. He then discovered a simple and cheap way to make a big difference.
