China-Panama Ties: Chinese president continues four nation tour in Panama

The third stop on the Chinese President’s four-nation tour is Panama. Xi’s visit comes less than a year after China and Panama resumed diplomatic ties and it will be the first by a Chinese head of state to the Central American country. 

CGTN’s Roee Ruttenberg spoke with Panama’s Vice Foreign Minister Luis Miguel Hincapie. He asked about Washington’s criticism of deepening China-Panama ties.

CGTN’s Elaine Reyes spoke with Eric Farnsworth for more on Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Panama. Farnsworth is Vice President of the Council of the Americas and the Americas Society.
