Our Urban Voice is a Cuban artist famous for his paintings of the ocean. His work often depicts historic battles and shipwrecks that took place in the waters surrounding Cuba.
And that requires him to do extensive research before trying to capture an event on canvas. But, not all of his works are centered on the past.
He says his art is evolving to examine contemporary issues as well. From Havana, meet Reynaldo Villamil.
Cuban institutions that display Reynaldo’s work include the Capitol, the Hotel Nacional and the fortress of El Morro.
