Millions of students in Florida, Texas and Arizona are now required to wear masks in class as some school boards have defied their Republican governors and made face coverings mandatory.

It’s been a divisive first week in schools in many parts of the United States, where parents and teachers disagree on how to resume in-person classes amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

CGTN correspondent Ediz Tiyansan has visited a school in Los Angeles, one of the nation’s largest school districts with some of the most stringent health guidelines for returning students.
