One of the lesser-known sports at the winter Olympics is a competition called a biathlon.  It consists of a cross-country race combined with marksmanship and requires both physical and mental strength to win. 

Europeans dominate the sport but interest is growing in the U.S. and hopes are running high that team USA can finally pick up a medal in the sport, something it has never done before.
