Russian metals are deeply rooted in the U.S. market

The U.S. has already banned Russian oil and gas, but as Washington looks to expand sanctions, there are two commodities that have been noticeably left off the blacklist: nickel and palladium.

Both are key components for America’s green revolution, which has some wondering if they’re simply too vital to sanction.
