The battle between federal and state laws governing abortion in the United States is heating up.

Texas has become the first state to sue the Biden Administration over a federal law that requires doctors to provide abortions in medical emergencies.

The suit comes as the U.S. House on Friday passed a bill protecting a woman’s right to cross state lines to obtain the medical procedure.
