In Los Angeles, California residents are allowed to water their lawns only twice a week, or they could be fined by water agents patrolling the streets.  Nearly six million Californians have been on a mandatory water conservation order since June, amid a mega-drought that has lowered some reservoirs below critical levels. 

Some are even changing their garden’s landscape to meet the mandates.
