NYC Chinatown makes pedestrian plaza permanent

One of the oldest roads in New York’s Chinatown is to become permanently pedestrianized.

Doyers Street was closed to cars in 2020 amid pandemic demand for more outdoor dining.

It’s hoped the change will  give a further boost to local businesses – trying to bounce back after the worst of COVID-19.
