There are now more than 14-thousand cases of monkeypox in the United States, and according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the numbers are rapidly increasing, with the vast majority among gay or bisexual men.
Monkeypox is NOT considered a sexually transmitted disease, but it can spread by close physical contact.
Experts say the most vulnerable subgroup are toddlers, school children and young adults in college. Educators are on alert as millions of students are set to go back to school.
