Uvalde School Board fires police chief

The school police chief widely seen as the person in charge the day 21 people were killed in a mass shooting at an elementary school in Texas – has been fired – three months after the massacre took place.

The Uvalde School Board voted to terminate Pete Arredondo’s employment at a meeting on Wednesday night.

But as CGTN’s Toni Waterman explains – it comes as little comfort to the victims’ families who are seeking wider accountability.
