One of the main topics of this year’s UN General Assembly is, once again, a call to preserve the planet’s biological diversity and promote food security.

Among the world’s many climate initiatives, a new project in Rio de Janeiro is helping fishermen whose livelihoods are threatened by pollution. Instead of fish, some are now fishing for waste.
