Brazilian fans pack festival to support team at World Cup

Brazil’s national team suffered a tough loss to Croatia in the World Cup quarterfinals, but that did not stop its faithful fans from cheering them on till the end. The five-time FIFA World Cup champions are one of the most well-known soccer teams in the world, with their famous banana yellow uniforms, its hard to miss Brazil in the World Cup.

However, despite their massive fanbase at home, many could not make the long journey to Qatar, which didn’t seem to matter to those in the “Green and Yellow Movement,” considered Brazil’s biggest organized fan group. Lucrecia Franco caught up with them in Rio de Janeiro last Friday before the knockout game against Croatia.
