A new generation of math and science innovators are pushing research to new levels. Big Story features high school students - and younger - who are at the forefront of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Some of these young people are even winning international competitions, such as the Yau Science Award. Viewers will see the passion that these young people bring to their fields, as well as get a better understanding of how math and science are integrated into everyday life.

The Ninth International Congress of Chinese Mathematicians, or ICCM, opened today (Sunday) in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province. Held every three years, the congress presented top awards to Chinese mathematicians. CGTN's Wu Bin has more.
