U.S. President Joe Biden has paid tribute to the heroes of ‘Bloody Sunday’ as he spoke at the annual commemoration of a seminal moment in the civil rights movement.
Biden was in Selma, Alabama on Sunday to mark the 58th anniversary when White policemen infamously beat Black protestors as they attempted to cross the city’s bridge, an event which ultimately led to the passage of landmark voting rights legislation.
