At a time when the United States is seeing a surge in mass shootings, Florida has become the latest state to allow citizens to carry concealed loaded weapons almost anywhere without a permit.

Florida is now the 26th state in the nation where carrying a concealed gun without a permit will be legal. That’s more than half the country, another sign of the political and cultural divide, splitting Americans.
