Report shows minorities face worse air quality levels in the U.S.

Across the United States, the cities with the worst air quality are areas where Black and Hispanic residents comprise the largest ethnic groups.

A recent study by an American team of researchers found that the nation’s most racially-segregated cities are also among the most polluted.

These communities are seen as more likely to have elevated asthma, respiratory problems, diabetes, heart disease or stroke.
