2024 Republican hopefuls descended on Indianapolis, Indiana for the National Rifle Association’s annual leadership summit, including former President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence. 

They were seeking the blessing of the oldest and most powerful gun association in America, and as Toni Waterman explains, they’re doing that by pledging their unwavering support for gun rights, despite a spate of deadly gun violence.
