U.S. shootings raise concerns over ‘stand your ground’ laws

A series of shootings in the U.S. is raising questions about ‘stand your ground’ laws after four people were shot in incidents involving apparent mistakes.

The majority of the country’s 50 states have laws that allow people to use force if they feel threatened and even in situations that could be just simple misunderstandings.
