The United Nations observes Chinese Language Day on April 20th. The annual celebration promotes multilingualism and cultural diversity.

This year in Brazil, the day was celebrated in Rio de Janeiro at one of the country’s eleven Confucius Institutes.

The event comes as Brazil and China are pledging to create a new future of bilateral relations. Lucrecia Franco reports.
