Nearly three out of four Chinese Americans say they’ve experienced racial discrimination in the past 12 months, according to new research.
Results from a nationwide survey of thousands of people, conducted by Columbia University and the non-partisan group ‘Committee of 100,’ show how almost half of Chinese Americans – one of the fastest growing population groups in the United States – reported being treated with “less respect than others.”
More than a quarter said they experienced “bias or hate incidents such as being physically intimidated or assaulted.”
