Executives of failed banks testify before U.S. Congress

The top executives of two collapsed U.S. banks testified in front of Congress on Tuesday, May 16, as their collapse triggered panic and a reassessment of the banking institutions inside the country.

The two heads of Silicon Valley and Signature banks were grilled with questions about their large payouts before their financial institutions collapsed, leading some members of Congress to demand answers.
