Writers, actors take to the picket lines in Hollywood

World Today

Hollywood studios are facing two strikes for the first time in 63 years.

It comes after the members of the SAG-AFTRA actors union, representing nearly 160,000 actors and artists worldwide, have authorized their leaders to call a strike after negotiations fell apart.

And it also comes at a time when the writer’s union has been on a strike since early May, which has already disrupted film and TV productions for over two months.
